# Long & Short

Your **PnL (Profit & Loss)** is calculated automatically for you. It’s the **accumulation of the performance of each token’s price action** in your squad, adjusted based on the direction you choose before the match.

* 📈 **Long** → If your tokens’ prices go **up**, your PnL will be **positive**. If they go **down**, your PnL will be **negative**.
* 📉 **Short** → If your tokens’ prices go **down**, your PnL will be **positive**. If they go **up**, your PnL will be **negative**.

You can go up against players who pick a **different direction** or run a completely different formation — the match outcome is all about who ends with the better PnL.
