# Leaderboard Policy

CFL is built as a competitive, skill-based game where every win, loss, and trophy matters. To keep the experience fair and enjoyable for all players, we review match activity during every major leaderboard event. This page explains what counts as fair play, what counts as manipulation, and how rewards are handled when irregular activity occurs.

This policy applies to all leaderboard seasons, tournaments, and special reward events.

CFL is committed to:\
• creating a fair and competitive environment\
• preventing artificial or coordinated trophy gain\
• protecting the integrity of leaderboards\
• rewarding genuine skill and participation

All reviews and actions are based on match data, gameplay patterns, and clear objective signals. Our goal is to maintain fairness, not punish honest players.

## **Why This Policy Exists**

Without safeguards, coordinated or artificial trophy gain harms the overall experience:\
• it discourages new players\
• it reduces trust in the leaderboard\
• it creates unfair advantages over honest competitors\
• it damages the long-term health of the game

This policy ensures that all rewards are earned through real competition.

## **Appeals and Communication**

If a player believes their activity or another player’s activity was misinterpreted, they can contact the CFL team privately. We will always review explanations and context before finalizing any action.

To ensure fairness and transparency, the community is given a **8-hour review window** after each leaderboard reset to report any suspected irregular activity.

* Leaderboards reset every **Monday at 8:00 AM UTC**
* The review and reporting window remains open until **4:00 PM UTC.**
* If no valid reports are received within this window, rewards will be **distributed at the latest at 8:00 PM UTC** the next day.

After rewards are distributed, leaderboard results for that period are considered final.

We value our players and welcome respectful communication at all times.

## **Future Improvements**

CFL is continuously improving its integrity systems, including:\
• pairing cooldowns\
• repeat opponent limits\
• squad similarity detection\
• referee abuse prevention

These improvements will help prevent issues before they happen.

## **Commitment to a Fair Competitive Future**

Our goal is to make CFL fun, competitive, and trusted by everyone who plays. This policy is part of that commitment.

Thank you for being part of the community and helping us keep CFL fair for all players.
